The simple truth is that once Breyer is officially shown the door, there will be no one on the left side of the court that can make a coherent arguement about why a anti-constitution leftist policy should be the law of the land. Sotomayor and Ketanji both have IQs under 100. Kagan is smart, but can't argue for anything.
Roberts is not a liberal, but loves the technical challenge in crafting an opinion to strikes down the clearly offending part of a particulars case, but keeps the basis for the evil policy on the books: See
* Obamacare can exist ... as a tax
* racial quotas at university are unconstitutional, but racial selection on "diversity grounds" is still somehow OK
* racially approved districts based on a list made in 1966 were bad, but still keep the two horrid precedents Reynold v Sims, and Baker v Carr that led to the continual mess...
The Thomas Court has overridden wishy-washy Roberts and that is a good thing.

OUTSTANDING!! It's been a long 50 years for some of us. God, am I ever thankful I'm still here to witness the insanity beginning to run its course. We've still got a long way to go, but at least now we have reason to believe that we at least have some sort of chance. Let's hope tomorrow's SCOTUS decisions continue in the same vein as those of the past week or so. The 4th will be a great celebration. Thanksgiving promises to be even better!

I grew up going to a huge public school system (2500+ students) in the 60s -80s. We had every religion and we all got along peacefully (proof to me that it's the families/upbringing that are responsible for good kids and not necessarily the religion the kids are).
We stood for the Pledge everyday followed by a standing minute of silence. It was never a big deal, we just did it without question from as far back as I can remember until graduation in '81.
I say this for 2 reasons: The good thing is that children follow what they are told, without question. The bad thing (as the current pedo-trans-racist-commie-academics know full-well) is that children follow what they are told without question - which is particularly disturbing when it comes to CRT, gender-anything, drag-shows, kinder-sex-ed, diversity, exclusion, etc. The latter must absolutely stop - it's not only criminal for the poor children, it will affect all of us as a society - even those who are home schooled.
