I’m disappointed, of course. I was really hoping Danchenko was going to get at least house arrest for a few weeks and a big fine.
Ah well.
Life goes on!
As I’ve been saying for some time now, the point of the first two trials held by this Special Counsel had the goal of completely exposing the criminal ‘joint venture’ conspiracy between the various RussiaGate players that involved theft of classified information from federal agency databases by private cyber security contractors working as private spies for the 2016 Hillary Clinton campaign.
These private spies then took that stolen information and , working in conjunction with other Clinton campaign operatives, concocted two specific Donald Trump/Russian collusion hoaxes with the stolen data, which they then brought to both the news media and to federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
Working off of a specific enemies list they were given by the Clinton campaign, federal contractors trawled government agency databases they had access to spy on private citizens involved in and around Donald Trump’s own campaign for President. This illegal spying and theft of classified information involved cyber crimes at Trump Tower, Trump’s office building, and lastly - and most amazingly - inside the White House itself.
Clinton’s dirty tricks squad then assembled the information it had gathered and decided to pursue two different kinds of smear attacks on Trump.
In the first one, the cyber spies assembled some innocent pinging traffic of a Trump Tower server with a spam email account and attempted to invent a Russia scandal by claiming the Trump Tower server was functioning as some kind of nefarious backchannel communication between Donald Trump’s inner circle and the Alfa Bank, a prominent bank in Russia.
The second smear attack involved compiling a series of fake allegations in an ‘intelligence dossier’ that was then peddled to news agencies to create buzz before it was handed over to the FBI.
The streams of the two hoaxes crossed, when the dossier compiled by Igor Danchenko attempted to lend weight to the other hoax by claiming the Alfa Bank was working as the middleman between Trump and Putin.
The two hoaxes garnered very different receptions over time.
While Clinton’s dirty tricks squad was initially successful in getting the FBI to accept the Alfa Bank hoax and look into it, that investigation didn’t go anywhere. So in February of 2017, after Donald Trump had won the 2016 election and assumed office, they tried again.
They revised and updated their hoax with new data freshly stolen off the secure servers inside the Executive Office of the President [that’s ‘The White House’, for those of you in Rio Linda] and then sent Perkins Coie lawyer Michael Sussmann to the CIA to try to convince that intelligence agency to open it’s own investigation of the Trump campaign.
Well they failed at that. The CIA didn’t bite. And thus, the Alfa Bank hoax went away until John Durham began fully exposing it during the Sussmann trial this past April.
The Steele Dossier hoax was a far more rousing success than the Alfa Bank hoax. That not only garnered breathless stories about a supposedly ‘well developed conspiracy’ of behind the scenes cooperation between the Trump campaign & the government of Vladimir Putin, it had the added feature of a lurid sexual fantasy where Trump paid some Russian prostitutes to pee on a bed where Barack Obama had once slept in a Russian hotel.
While both the FBI and the CIA never took Alfa Bank beyond a cursory look, the Steele Dossier drove all the way down the field and scored the touchdown. It not only had legs, it had legs for years, based on the fact that an actual real live spy warrant was based on it’s allegations.
The Long Waiting Game
For 3 years, from early 2017 all the way through very late 2019, people like me were called “conspiracy theorists” for claiming the evidence showed that every single one of the multitude of safeguards that should have prevented a serious spy warrant from being granted on the basis of obviously faked and unverified juvenile-level bullshit that virtually all involved knew had come straight from the dirty tricks squad working for Clinton’s campaign were subverted and manipulated to allow this to happen.
Nobody calls me a conspiracy theorist anymore when it comes to RussiaGate. I stuck to what I knew was true and eventually it all came out. I learned a lot from that experience, which is going to serve me well over the next couple of weeks while we wait to see what John Durham’s next move is.
John Durham’s task is to investigate how this farce happened and who to hold accountable for it. We all know who did it. There’s no mystery left. He’s shown who did it.
As I wrote here for Badlands Media, a lot of people assume this is it and Durham now retires to his office write his final report.
That’s not what I see happening. My take is he didn’t expose all the theft of classified information, the use of illegal private spies who were bold enough to spy on a sitting President in the White House, the enemies list, and the fact that all these goons crossed over into treason when they didn’t stop their spying when Trump took the oath of office and was no longer a candidate but was now the nation’s 45th President, so he could just futilely watch them all walk away scott free.
And so now we wait to see what happens next.
Which we’d be doing anyway even if Danchenko was convicted on 1 or more counts and got a slap on the wrist and a fine.
The real moment of truth was coming after this trial, no matter what the verdict.
It’s just a question of when Durham and his team choose to show his hand.

I hope you are right. My concern is that what they left hanging in the air from the Dancheko trial is FBI incompetence which is a very convenient way to brush this under the rug. Waiting for the next shoe to drop Durham.
Thank you thank you thank you! Been looking everywhere (I don’t watch TV - MSM or any tv ) and this is a great recap!!! Appreciate you Brian - disappointed too but ready for the next few weeks!!!!
