It Was Scientifically Proven Years Ago A Diet High In Sugar Harms Your Brain
Yet Health & Diet "Experts" Captured By Big Food Corporations Keep Insisting You Should Feed Your Kids Sugar-Filled Crap
Back in 2012, at UCLA University, researchers decided to test on animal subjects what a high-fructose diet does to cognitive functions such as memory.
The study focused a lot of attention on High Fructose Corn Syrup since the ‘average American’ consumes over 40 pounds of HFCS in a year while eating the Standard American Diet.
This UCLA study created a big, brief splash when it was released in 2012. Several articles were written about it in scientific journals and even the national news media:

In another more recent research experiment at Brown University in Rhode Island, two separate groups of lab rats were given different diets for several weeks. At the end of the trial period, the rats fed the high-fructose “Standard American” diet were cognitively tested in comparison to those who were fed a normal diet not high in sugar.
The cognitive test involved placing the rats in a large white bowl full of water just over the top of the rat's heads, where they were forced to move to stay afloat and breathe. [It was not deep enough so they would drown, but just enough so they would panic and start looking for a way out] Right near the center of the bowl was a little perch that the rats could easily climb up onto in order to get out of the water.
The findings were not just significant, they were startling. Even if rats had taken the test previously where they quickly got out of the water in just a few seconds, once they were fed a high-fructose diet for several weeks, they moved around the rim of the bowl for long periods of time, having completely forgotten the perch was there.
Meanwhile, the rats who hadn’t been fed the high-fructose diet quickly found the perch and climbed up on it. Every time the test was repeated, the non-high-fructose rats climbed the perch even more quickly because they remembered it was there.
The results consistently showed that the sugar-fed rats were cognitively impaired.

It is hardly controversial to say that modern Americans today are eating an incredible amount of sugar in their daily diet compared to the Americans of just 100 years ago.
Americans 100 years ago certainly weren’t eating 40+ pounds of high fructose corn syrup every year. HFCS is a genetically modified product, even if the Big Food Corporations aren’t required to label it as such.
Americans have been taught that ingesting massive amounts of genetically modified corn, wheat, and sugar every year is ‘no big deal.’ Have they been misled about that? Perhaps deliberately so?
Do you know how they get around having to label every box of cereal and every can of soda filled with high fructose corn syrup as a genetically modified product?
While they admit all the CORN that the high fructose corn syrup is made from is genetically modified, they claim the syrup itself is only a mere ‘refined ingredient’ and so is not genetically modified itself.
Got that?
The sugary sweet syrup we’re extracting from this genetically modified-up-the-wazoo corn is not itself a genetically modified product. Because we say it’s not. 🙄
100 years ago, diabetes in this country was almost unheard of. Now, it’s everywhere, affecting millions of people, and it’s becoming increasingly obvious that both the government and the Big Food Corporations in bed with Big Pharma have a vested financial interest in keeping people confused about what’s causing the growing diabesity national emergency.
The Sugar Industry itself could see what was coming back in the mid-1960s as more and more high-sugar products were rolled out for the public to eagerly begin eating.
So deliberate steps were taken by the Sugar Industry to place the blame for the exploding amounts of obesity, diabetes, heart attacks, and chronic illnesses on animal fat in the US diet.
Put it all together. The federal government has to know at this point that genetically modified sugars - especially HFCS - put in a staggering number of US fake food products in conjunction with genetically modified wheat, corn, and seed oils are causing a health crisis in this country.
But they don’t appear to be doing anything to stop it. Not only are they not taking any real steps to stop it, they seem to be actually encouraging this, as I will show you in a moment.
The Big Food Corporations dumping massive amounts of highly processed and genetically modified high-fructose products into the American food supply have no incentive to stop doing this until someone makes them stop doing it.
As I’ve emphasized in my previous columns, the understanding of the detrimental effects of seed oils in our daily diet has been well-documented since the late 1890s and certainly by the 1910s. This knowledge, derived from extensive animal testing, should have led to the banning of the use of seed oils in the human food supply.
Yet the use of seed oils was allowed and promoted in an ever-expanding number of products introduced into the US food supply from the 1910s all the way to the present day!
Given what happened with seed oils and their massive presence in the current US food culture, is it really a surprise that the same government medical/health/nutrition agencies that turned a blind eye to seed oils also pretended not to notice the rampant effects of the ever-increasing amounts of sugar being dumped into the Big Food Corporation products?
One of the brutal truths of life I’ve had to learn the hard way over the last several years is this: you have to learn to look out for yourself and your loved ones because no one else is. All the medical science/health/nutrition ‘experts’ we were taught to trust growing up have revealed themselves to be propagandists in bed with the big corporations they are supposed to be watching.
My mind was blown when I read this section of author Daniel Trevor’s recent book, “Unholy Trinity: How Carbs, Sugar & Oils Make Us Fat, Sick & Addicted.”
Ponder that yellow highlighted section for a minute. They used a much-ballyhooed event at the White House to roll out a new “Food Pyramid” that was even MORE GODAWFUL than the previous one.
This new FDA-approved “Food Pyramid” claims to the gullible and the unsuspecting that feeding your kids Lucky Charms, Froot Loops, Honey Nut Cheerios, and countless other high-fructose cereals is healthier than giving them bacon, eggs, beef, and cheese.
This apparently was the Dean of the Tufts School of Nutrition that Daniel Trevor mentioned, who proudly rolled out this travesty of a new ‘Food Pyramid’ as guidance for all federally sponsored and controlled food programs.
Far from stopping this Fake Food Train from dragging millions of addicted Americans straight to Hell, our government appears to be encouraging this. The Biden White House proved this just two years ago.
They **want** millions of American kids to eat these high-fructose fake food products. And when I ponder why that would be the case, the answers I end up with are very disturbing.
Again, I’m forced to a conclusion that some people are going to find highly controversial: That they want your kids to grow up not just being fat, depressed, and full of toxins but also DUMB and cognitively impaired because that makes it far easier for Big Brother to control them.
HFCS wasn’t introduced into the American diet until 1972. That year most Americans had about 1.2 pounds of it.
By 1999, Americans were eating a staggering 63 pounds of this genetically modified fake food product.
The fact that up until 2017, people here in America were eating OVER FORTY POUNDS of HFCS is incredibly frightening. Back in 2000, the yearly amount of HFCS consumption was a staggering 62.5 pounds. So, at least we see the downward trend from 2000 through 2019, as Americans started to cut down on the amount of this stuff they’ve been eating.
What kind of damage have Americans been doing to their bodies by eating so much of this crap since the early 1970’s? We may never know the full extent of the harm caused…but one thing we can do is STOP EATING/DRINKING this stuff now that we know it’s literally making us dumber.
